Safety is important in a shop environment because it protects everyone from potential injuries, accidents, and hazards that can occur while working with tools, equipment, and materials. Shops often involve tasks like cutting, welding, grinding, or using heavy machinery, which carry inherent risks if not handled properly.

Evaluation can be a struggle for me. I tend to be a little off rubric with my evaluations. I need to be more consistent with my evaluations for an educational environment. I am at times a little soft on evaluations due to a student's "situation". Especially when I "know what they mean". 

Developing a diverse platform for education is remarkably significant in successful completion and direction of the specific course for both the classroom and lab experiences. Not all students learn on the same wavelength and need a different form of engagement to satisfy the needs of the learner. The basis of teaching per student in a "student-centered" approach, rather than to a group of students, is the undertaking of the responsibility to teach to all instead of having them learn the way you want them to. This module provided valuable insights into effective teaching strategies, which I can directly apply using Bloom’s Taxonomy as a framework. I gained a deeper understanding of how to create lessons that guide students through the various cognitive levels, from remembering and understanding foundational concepts to applying, analyzing, and evaluating more complex ideas.

In my welding program, I will use Bloom’s principles to structure lessons that build progressively, ensuring students not only acquire technical skills but also develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
