I've often found that storing my files such as powerpoints and lecture notes on my phone seem to work really well. I'm more likely to forget a folder or a jump drive but I'll never be without my phone. It's also easy to email the files to yourself if there isn't a duplicate screen feature. Anyone else do this?

Although I like the idea of using a Twitter and Facebook account to enhance the classroom environment, the problem I would have is topics being jumbled, mixed, or just being overlooked altogether. How would you go about monitoring the account constantly?

I've seen many wikis on the web especially for specific genres like shows and books and whatnot, but I've never actually used one that was incorporated into my teaching. Of all that I read about, this stood out to me more than anything. Has anyone had any experience with this?

With so many students connected to Facebook all the time especially through their phones, I think Facebook is definitely the future in terms of serving as portals especially for online students. The difficulty comes into monitoring all of this. Has anyone had any experience with this?
More and more as a society we are finding ourselves becoming connected to our electronic media more conveniently, and I feel that smartphones will be the future for all of this. Already our smartphones have replaced our alarm clocks, watches (even though I still wear one), media players, and e-readers...I imagine, especially with them becoming bigger and larger in size, that they become integrated in carrying the textbooks for our students and even being able to serve as ways to upload and complete in classroom discussions via live chats.

Stress itself is a part of everyday life but I think one of the important things about all of this is trying to figure out what works best. Coping with a friendly ear I think is very effective, especially since so many people stay connected with their phones and whatnot.

I find managing stress works best when you find a task or something to do that helps relieve it during the day, like listening to some music, or talking to someone that can help relax you, or even something a s simple as indulging and getting a treat for yourself...cinnabon anyone?

One of the things that often happens is numerous people may want to use the scantron machine or copy machine at one time. To avoid waiting, I've made master copies of all the exams and look through them each time one is administered to ensure there's no writing on it. There are numerous forms of each exam. As for scantrons, one method I've found works best is to simply punch holes as answers on the actual scantron key, and then place it over a student's scantron. Each hole that is unmarked is an incorrect answer.

It can become overwhelming having so much to do especially when there are multiple classes, but truth be told, I find what works best is using the note pad on my phone and simply checking things off as they are completed. Let's face it, technology has entered nearly every facet of our lives and there are numerous options on the note apps to make and utilize a to do list that work really well!

A variety of testing is important I believe so as to call on a broad range of information in different formats. I find that this ensures that the student understands the material but doesn't feel overwhelmed if that particular form of testing is especially difficult. I'll often use a combination of things on a test just to provide some different aspects of learning.
