I really enjoyed the training as I feel that it was super informative. I feel it has re-energized my focus and has struck up alot of creativity for my classroom. I find that the discussions are very helpful. Currently I do syronchronous disccicusion in class, but I feel that I will use it more in an asynchrouus setting which can help faciliate their learning while they work on the projects in on their own time.
Asynchronous and synchronus discussions are beneficial but each must be handled with care and effectively in order to deliver the message. It is cricital taht we continue to strive for feedback from our students as well as give them feedback on how they are doing in class, their progression, and understanding of the concepts being taught.
Projecting a positive credible presence is important for an educator to establish as it opens the door, for trust to be built between the students and myself. Showcasing my talents, my education, my professional acccomplishments can inspire the students to strive to hit their goals, and open up the communication lines within the class.
It is imperative that when teaching online curriculum you have a solid foundation of the CMS and it components in order to effectively teach and reach your students. Teachers should prepare themselves by reviewing and accessing material, links, and online operations prior to class.
