it makes me very sad how often this happens that we needed 4 modules regarding this matter. always be on the lookout for victims, protext yourselve and know your resources

we are to encoruage but not force the victim to report the incident. we are not to promise to "keep a secret" regarding the incident and we are to help the victim with resources as needed. 

it's important for the staff to take training and familiarize themselves with that the coordinator does and their role. They are knowlegeable, accessible, and helpful. 

Just becuase we teach online doesn't mean we aren't exposed to attempts at harassment sexually and emotionally. infact, online you are at higher risk to be atteacked. 

FERPA meant to protect student and their records. The student can file a complaint within 180 days.

motivate students by being excited about your topic and then they'll get excited. don't drown them with excessive tasks and assigemtsn. also: don't embarass your studnts and they'll shut down and not want to ask qustions, rather encourage them and celebrate their small achievements as they happen. 

i liked the section on student rention. emotional slumps increase drop out rates, therefore teachers need to empower and remind the students why they're in the class and let the students remeber their end goal.
