Netiquette is basically defined as an acceptable way of communicating via the Internet. Never heard of this term.

Many students learning in the online environment see synchronous meetings as a way to develop a relationship with the instructor and feel more a part of the learning community.

Participating in an online class and engaging in the learning process is essential but can evolve into more of a Community of Practice (CoP). Helping students be involved in a Community of Practice enhances their learning experience and helps them begin to construct their own learning. Hence, a CoP is based on the theory of constructivism.

It is essential to reinforce the importance of time management in online learning. I think this is the most difficult task for students to accomplish especially when juggling work/school/family life.
