Activity

Be a "human being" aka personable.  Also, learning student names pays dividends...I learned this a while back and can definitely attest to its benefit.

As an instructor, maintaining the professional/instructor role with students is important and it's easy to slip into wanting to be a "friend" which is counter intuitive to instruction and learning.

The Taxonomy of Learning chart/principles (Level 1-3) is useful in building your Lesson Plan.  The key verbs will make it easier to build out my plan/objectives.

I learned the importance of CATs (Classroom Assessment Techniques) and their ability to help students connect their learning to application.

Best practice is to assess the different learning styles with students and adjust accordingly.  However, learning occurs best if you expose your students to all the different learning styles over time.
