Activity
In this module, I learned how to align assessments with global career-ready practices to better prepare students for a global workforce. I gained an understanding of formative and summative assessments and how to assess internationalized learning outcomes. The Global Career Ready Practice Rubric was particularly helpful for evaluating global competence and employability skills.
I plan to apply these strategies by incorporating diverse assessment tools, like rubrics and reflection activities, into my lessons to encourage critical thinking and global perspectives. This module helped me realize that assessments should not only measure knowledge but also foster skills for a globalized world.
This module emphasized the importance of integrating global perspectives into courses to enhance students' understanding of international contexts. I plan to revise my course objectives to include global competencies, such as analyzing international practices or collaborating across cultures.
To start, I’ll adapt assignments to incorporate global case studies and diverse perspectives while working within current institutional guidelines. Although formal course changes can take time, adding these elements to existing projects will prepare students for the global workforce and foster critical thinking and cultural awareness.
From this module, I’ve learned the importance of integrating global social justice into CTE to create equitable learning environments. I will apply this by using students' diverse backgrounds to scaffold learning and build global competencies, aligning their experiences with career goals. I’ll also use the Global Social Justice Framework to design inclusive lessons that activate students’ prior knowledge and promote equity.
From this module, I have learned the importance of preparing students for a globally interconnected workforce, especially in career and technical education (CTE) programs. It has highlighted how essential global competence is for students entering diverse and international markets. By understanding how to integrate global perspectives into course materials, I now recognize opportunities to help students develop skills that will allow them to collaborate effectively across cultures.
I plan to apply this by incorporating more global content and real-world examples into my teaching, emphasizing the value of cross-cultural communication and international career readiness.
