I think it is very necessary to screen/interview student's prior to enrollment this will help with the drop percentage.

I strongly agree that the staff should encourage and be examples for the student's, because they are considered roll models. When the instructor's have positive energy and give good instruction and feedback this helps that the student's want to be in school. We as the administration try to enforce this behavior.

I truely agree that if we catch the problem early and lend an ear there is probably something we can do to help the student over come what ever it is that is making them feel that they do not want to continue in school, encouraging them to finish what they started so that they can have a carrer and a better future is very important.

Attrition

I understand that there are some some student's that have legit reason's for having to withdraw from school, but what do we do if our retention rate is affected by this? the Department of Education does not take in consideration that there was no way for us to keep these student's enrolled not even putting these student on leave of absences, they still do not return.
