I learned that their are many tools that an instructor can use. These tools need to be evaluated to make sure that they are right for the teacher and sudents alike.  They can be helpful if used in the correct way but can also hinder growth if not used corectly.

I will use mulitple types of evalautions for my courses and adjust teaching and learning as needed.

My biggest take-away was that module consistency is a must. Sections or weekly are both fine but chucking information together into smaller amounts will help the learners. 

I like how well the course defined asynchronized and synchronized communication. Using asynchronized method can help all students participate.  And remembering that in the online environment, we tend to lose things as humor. Remember this will be helpful for me.  I also liked sharing netiquette for discussions.

I will send each student a personal message to let them know that I'm interrested inthem as a person and not just a name with a grade. I will also i share important information with them (ie office hours). 

I feel that structure and student's knowledge of the structure is a key point. Most students do not like the unexpected and allowing them to know the flow of your instruction will make the learning more pleasurable. I am going to try post the structure and timeline from the start.
