I cannot say how many times, I get an email from a student telling me thank you for beign specific. Sometimes we get busy and our feedback becomes a generic text back to the student. This just causes the student to lose interest in the online communication. It is hard enough to keep their attention. How has your feedback promote sucess?

Plagiarism is a policy that I strongly believe in. I clearly state the Plagiarism policies in my announcements. I even go the extra mile by telling the students that I check and report all offenders. In one of my classes, on the very first week there is a “Piracy” assignment that can be found at Yahoo answers. Years ago, when I did my Bachelors of Computer Science, I was with a group of people that (putting it nicely, myself included) have "God" complexes. We were working in the field already and we believe we had the "Real World" ways of doing it. Many of the talks were dominated by this group. There was a small group that rarely got a chance to speak. Did they learn, maybe? But some always had a problem speaking out.
