Students today always keep a WIIFM mindset. The challenge is keeping them focused on the content and keeping my expectations for them at a level appropriate for them . 

I have learned that it is very important to learn your students names. I am going to come up ways to make it easier for me to remember their names quicker 

give a cheating student a chance to explain why they felt the need to cheat and dont call them out on it infront of their peers 

sometimes you have to give center stage students a job so that others may learn

Always set due dates with reminders and stick to the policy laid out in the syllabus.
