i gained some knowledge on how and when certain test questions should be used. i also learned that the test should also reflect what you want the students to take away from the content. 

by using different CAT activities you can gain a better understanding of how well the kids are learning. I also learned that there are different ways to evaluate the kids 

I have learned that by asking questions and allowing the student to ask questions that learning is taking place. I also tell my students that their are no stupid questions and to not hesitate to ask a question when they need an answer

By considering a variety of learning styles and presenting the material to meet all the different ways to learn, you have a better chance of the  students retaining the information. 

I have learned that some students will need accomodations, and that the accommodations are presented in a way that the student does not feel different from their peers 

I have learned that it is more important for the teacher to focus more on the student then the disorder that they have. I also learned that it helps to not single them out or bring more attention to their disorder 

In this section, I learned that there are many different forms of disabilities. I also learned different ways of helping these students get the contect they need while not having to change the curriculum for them.

I have learned that even if we think a student could benefit from extra help, there is not a whole lot we can do until the proper channels have been contacted and all the steps have been taken 

As a new teacher it has taken some getting used to all the different learning styles out there and what each student with a learning disability needs. I have also seen that by speaking with each student and getting to know them i have a better understanding of what they need. 

I have quit a few students that I have to constantly redirect so that focus and absorb the content. I also listen to them at times when they just need a brain break for a few minutes. I have found that letting them take a 5-10 min brain break helps them to refocus and the rest of the class can finish listening to lecture without so many interruptions
