I see the value in different data points. We look for student feedback but likely overlook some of the other forms of feedback after initial course revisions are done.

 

I would have liked to see more depth on the feedback element. It is crucial. Video feedback is almost always preferred by students and can be more effective.

 

Overall, though, the idea of balancing the types of assessment is important. It should facilitate the learning.

 

I think there was a good point at the end that not all students have the same background, and not all students will build knowledge in the same way. The course should help them build scaffolding, but there needs to be enough flexibility for different learners to benefit.

 

I think a key is having sufficient testing. Ensure that the testers can look at your layout and content with the student's perspective.
