I learned that FERPA requires an applicable education institution to honor requests for non-disclosure of directory information received fromm a student in current attendance.  This will help me to always look to see if the student is currently enrolled and in attendance as part of the due diligence process. 

I learned that students have the right to access their records under FERPA.  And am looking forward to learning more about FERPA in the modules ahead! 

In this section, I learned about the application of the rule prohibiting pre-admission inquiries to protect the student and school.  

In this section, I learned the importance of understanding what programs the school provides to all since this serves to create a context for scope of modifications to ensure equal access.  I intend to apply this lesson by thoroughly reviewing materials and asking questions to gain understanding.   

This section discussed disabilities.  I hope to learn about the accommodation process to be supportive and in alignment with law and ethics.

I have learned that. in light of the intersection between laws and the digital learning ecosystem, equal access to online learning is very important today.
