I feel the same way. I enjoy being a lifetime learner. Even though I might be revisiting something I am familiar with, inevitably I see it from a new perspective with new insights.
I have taken a University course for teacher licensing a few years ago. I feel the knowledge and presentation in Ed 101 was, in compaison, much superior. The combination of concepts and practical application is something I can use immediately.
Thanks for the comments; students definitely know when you are not prepared. Finding the time to prepare adequately is always the dilemma. I try to access each days lesson and introspect how it went. I find this helps to prepare for the next day.
I am curious if you have taken ED 101. If so, how does it compare to ED 102?
I recently finished the online program. I found it very interesting. It inspired me to think about some of my teaching techniques. I especially found the material dealing with the first class session to be very helpful. I plan on making use of it immediately. Of particular interest was the idea of using a pretest. I am definitely going to employ it.
I agree that repetition is the key to getting these concepts into one's everday use. I find that just using at least one concept and applying it to a number of different circumstancesw is sometimes helpful.
