This course on learning styles, questioning, learning and effective assesments is very useful for everyday instruction. I can apply it tomorrow. It is my favorite of the ED series, so far, in terms of utility and really getting to the meat and bones of quality instruction. However, there are many claims and widely publicized critisicms that learning style theory has many flaws. I have informed myself with the flaws as well so as to better create an active and natural learning environment for my students.

Skipped this learning module intitially realizing later that if I took the first 6 and passed them that I could receive a certification. What is great, is that I have completed the ed102, 3 and 5, so ed101 was easy and almost like a review because of the reiteration of topics and content throught all the following courses. Found it very helpful and a good review of educational SOP's modled by my contemporaries in the educational institution I work for.

I really enjoyed this course and happy with all the additional resources. I can start to implement these time management skills immediately every day a little at a time so that I can be a more beneficial employee and individual. I think probably one of the main determinates that diferentiates successfull people from the unsuccessful-besides obvious talent, knowledge and skills-is time management. Someone can have all the talent skill and knowledge in the world but if they don't know how to organize it and implement it effectively then it will not avail in the long run.

Not only do I find this module a great learning opportunity for me individually, in my personal life, but also in doing my job better and facilitating the similar processes my students need to take to achieve their goals. First one of the Management trainings I have done...Very infomative and helpfull.

I had a couple students in thier late 20's who graduated just this last quarter who were in awe and unaware of what success and completion of something in their lives actually felt like. The unit on the importance of vision really applies in this circumstance.

I don’t quite understand the impassioned debate about learning styles theory or meshing hypothesis other than to float your academic boat. Though there is no hard scientific evidence that this 40 year old approach has substantive impact on the learner, seems to me, as a fellow educator, that the method is simply another tool to facilitate the student/instructor relationship and is not meant to be a substitution for loving or commanding your subject and content. Would we still be debating this idea 40 years later if there was no merit to it? Is it a challenge for you to repackage content… >>>
