Converting to online after teaching for 10+ years F2F is going to be a challenge.  The questions given to ask in this process are something I will need to remind myself of to accomplish this change.  Although we are switching midstream I do like the idea of a welcome letter.  Organization is paramount to making this change in order to present the best course and facilitate the students in their journey.

As instructors we must be sure to give prompt feedback to our students.  More students today suffer from anxiety related conditions it seems.  Therefore, the reassurance not just of test grades but that they on the right path with their work is important.  We must also make sure our instructions and responses are extremely clear so there is no misunderstanding in written word communication.

As there are different students in the classroom there must be vaired methods of presenting and accountability for material.  I will use both types after learning the advantages and disadvantages of both.

Being an older instructor, just the terminology being used is new to me.  I am finding this helpful and will allow me to become familair with new methods to engage the younger students.  I also like the suggestion of what to add, what to drop and what to continue.
