Try to use as many different teaching methods in class as possible to allow each student to learn in their preferred method.  This should help to have the best learning outcomes for each student.

Be open and inviting to students upon first meeting to ease their anxiety and hopefully let them know that you care about each of them and their success in the course.

Early preparation is key so that you can start to get kinks out before the class begins.

Let your behavior be the example of the professional expectations you have of your students. Practice what you preach or teach!
