Excellent discussion I agree with the writers. For us to be effective employees, we have got to understand, and know what's expected from us. We have to know what our boss expect, and need. If they (our bosses) are reluctant or indecisive with informing us about their expectations, then I agree  with the lesson plan seek out infromation from coworkers, who may have been working with this boss. This will provide us with some points of reference for meeting our boss's expectations.

I too agree with the other writers that to be an effective communictor you have to listen. We need to stop talking so much, and take the time to clear our minds, this allows us to be able to listen to someone else. We should  allow the speaker to completely express themselves, before we response. Then you want to summarize, what you have heard., before responing. This lets the speaker know that you were listing, and it provides clarifty to the converstation, and makes for a more appropriate response.

Excellent lesson and on point with the information . This is important inforomation that people tend to forget when communicating with each other.

My story telling usually involves a real example of what actually happened with a piece of equipment or doing  a test. I'm teaching a lab class. One example was when my brother damaged and injured his shoulder while lifting weights. The class is studying rad. testing/studies  and I shared the rad. test that he had done before actually having the surgery and what rad. tests and studies was done after surgery.
