I am Registered Nurse with a Master's degree in Health Care administration. I love classroom teaching and sharing my knowledge with students. My passion is helping others and i believe teaching gives me an opportunity to contribute into our future by sharing my knowledge and giving students opportunity for a better future. My learning interest is mostly on tests/exam questions development. I am interested in learning more about developing questions for course exams and quizzes.

Understanding the institution's mission statement helps make sure that the teachers activities are in alignment with the organization's mission.
I have always included community service in the course plan for my graduating nursing class to introduce them to the service aspect of nursing expectations.
This course has given me ideas on how to introduce the course to the students to make them understand the rationale for the community service projects.
As students enter the career colleges for professional training such as nursing, they enter with various knowledge base, study habits and motivations. The individualized adaptive learning tool will assist students achieve the objectives with less frustration and reduce the drop out rate.
This course has been very beneficial to me as an instructor. I spent most of the time during the course reflecting and evaluating my non-verbal communication behaviors. I will definitely be making some changes immediately.

Most of my students work full-time jobs and attend class in the evening after work, therefore, it is difficult for most of them to stay focussed and get the full benefit of the classroom lecture when pure lecture method is utilized. I find that my students are able to retain lecture materials better when active learning methods are utilized. If I have materials that can only be delivered through pure lecture, I provide that information during the first quarter of the lecture time and utilize active learning method for the rest of the lecture. An alternative to having lecture notes on 5 x 7 cards is to have the lecture note in a powerpoint format and project it on the board while lecturing. This is beneficial for both instructor as well as the students.
Understanding the learning styles of your students makes teaching time productive for both instructor as well as the students. Presentation of material can be developed in the format that can be beneficial to the students.
