I plan on trying to use timeboxing, stop multitasking, and work in contingency plans. I think by using timeboxing that will help keep me on tasks for my larger goals. Additionally, I plan to write out the biggest goals I need to achieve each day so they can remain the top priority.

The PLDP will be a great resource to utilize moving forward.

Appreciative inquiry will help reframe how we think of something and give it an opportunity for a makeover. It can help provide encouragement and opportunity for the innovative thinking that is needed, thus turning around the negative culture.

Empathetic listening is something I do most of the time, but I will have to make an effort to continue to do that at al times, while attempting to self regulate. There are all good reminders about the importance of leadership and empathetic listening.

I always considered myself a visual learner, but have learned through this that I am also a kinesthetic learner as well. Understanding the language that each type of learner may typically use can be really helpful of knowing the best way to connect and pass information along to that person. Being able to adapt to other types of learning styles will help make me a better leader.

Having self awareness and self regulation can really help build trust as a leader within your team. This made sense to me immediately but I never thought about it and put it together as to how it builds trust and how important that is within a team.

I have never considered my leadership legacy before and taking a moment to write that down will be helpful in me staying on target to achieve that in the future.

Identifying the biggest obstacle is half of the problem and it does appear that the biggest obstacle may be those from a lower income situation starting school and finishing it. Knowing how to support and reach those students should be able to make a big difference. Including programs that teach a skill may bridge that gap a bit as well.

I have learned how a different leadership style can directly correlate to the leadership impact with a team. It is important to be flexible and change and your team needs and as the situation needs.

I was previously unaware of the 4 tenets of leadership. Learning about the importance of each one has helped me understand how each can play such a large role in a team member's desire to perform/overall performance, which can lead to longevity.
