In order to have a successful classroom, I must have organization and also specific expectations must be discussed in the beginning of the course. This will ensure that studens have an understanding.

I learned that motivating others by sharing your experiences. Personally, I feel that it is difficult for instructors to motivate students if they do not personally have vision. It is very transparent when we see instructors who are burned out and don't expand their student's vision through motivation.

I learned that in order to have a successful course, I should develop my material and be prepared to demonstrate competencies. Also, my learning style will be important for my students because they can easily lose interest and attention.

Introduce myself, allow students to introduce themselves and learn to correctly pronounce their names.

Prepare my students and hold them accountable. Keep a notepad handy.

To maintain professionalism with your students because it can also be a trap.

Always dress professionally. If the outfit is questionable, dress professional.

One way to get people to engage more with eachother is by creating small group projects so that it feels less intimidating. 

I learned that as an instructor, I want to have a relationship with my students, but also maintain authority and presense. I want break the ice by introducing ourselves, but provide my credentials, experience, and experience to what lead me to become their intructor. This will set the tone for the course and the teacher-student relationship.

In order for a class to be successful online, the instructor should have an understanding of how to operate it first. Students can easily be distracted or get frustrated if they do not understand how to navigate through a CMS system. Therefore, we as instructors should take the time out and introduce it and ensure students know how to navigate through the course content online.
