I enjoy active learning and always try to implement this in class.

Keeping students engaged is a big challenge.

Not being well prepared due to not knowing what to expect as a new instructor.

Making sure consequences are followed through. But also allowing student to voice their concerns.

Adressing them when its happening. Being assertive helps.

Setting an open door atmosphere from the very beginning. Also learning student's limitations early on to be able to better help them throughout the semester.
