I learned a lot about delegation in this module. I have learned that delegation is an opportunity to help employees grow and that I am empowering an individual when I delegate a task. I have also learned how to help my leadership team in delegating tasks to their teams. It all comes down to managing the expectation in order to avoid micromanagement.

This module really broke down how students think for me! I enjoyed learning about semantic, episodic, and working memory. Concrete and Abstract thinking is crucial not only to the student's learning but curriculum development. Just by learning the definitions of concrete and abstract thinking, I can identify parts of the lesson plans I've already written that have students think in these ways.

Reply to Stefano Bartoli's post: I agree!

This learning module could not have come at a better time for me. I have a fairly large team to manage and where some of my usual tactics have worked, the team needs something fresh. The idea of a team charter, guiding principles, "fearless organization" and a couple more concepts from this module have inspired me to try these things and create a team culture rooted in development, knowledge, and student success.

Student ownership was a big takeaway for me. I find that students do tend to blame the instructor when they do not meet the course expectation. This information was valuable.
