If a student does not have the opportunity or is not assisted in developing the needed soft skills for employment success then the instructor and/or institution are not preparing the student for career success.

Provide a variety of methods to better instruct your students learning styles. 

Conducting an "Icebreaker" exercise can be beneficial, not only for the instructor, but for the students as well.

While a thorough plan is critical, you also need to know where you're at at a glance. The importance of a checklist stood out as something very important to be successful. 

Model professionalism. Be their friend, not their pal. Focus on self learning and professional growth. I am not the smartest person in the room.
