Being able to listen to a student and watch their cues is all part of being an active listener.

What I learned is the student may be the customer paying for goods and service. But they have many choices to choose for schools. Are quality of education has to be worthy of what the students are paying for.

What I learned is that students need to feel valued and not just a number. They need staff that cares about their situation and needs. Be able to find them resources and devote extra time to help them achieve success.
