The idea of e-learning is important no more than ever with the pandemic. It is scary to think what would be happening in schools across the country if we didnt have web based learning platforms to continue educating the students. We have a long way to go in order to bring them up to the level that colleges and universities are at where programs are done completely online but because of the pandemic, I see that change coming sooner rather than later

Organization and communication are important in being able to reach students. 

My class is set up majority in cooperative groups because it is a lab based class and the students respond well to it. I rarely do tests and quizzes in a group setting though, I do need to make sure that the individual is learning the material and not solely relying on their group mates

I find it very challenging as a teacher and I am sure that I am not alone here that relinquishing control which is part of the constructivist theory. I am looking to see how much control is let go and in what ways pther teachers are doing this.

Understanding teaching styles and how to adapt them to your learners is a important and valuable to their overall success

I have learned that the idea of the flipped classroom is not something that will be considered a "fad" in education. Due to advances and moving forward with technology, educators are looking for best practices when it comes to implementing technology into classrooms and the flipped classroom is an excellent way to do it.

I have learned that there is a lot of technology that can help with the flipped classroom and learning about the technology is important to the teacher and student

From this module I have learned that the barriers will be what keeps the flipped classroom from reaching its full potential. The biggest barrier is making sure that I as the teacher understand the true concept and can explain it in a way that the students understand that I am not giving them additional work but giving them their work in a different way so that it can be learned in a more engaging way. Another barrier is that I need to make sure I know how to implement this strategy correctly as to not inundate my students with lectures… >>>

I understand that implementing this new strategy will take time and that it is important to get everyone on board and be ready to defend the idea behind it with facts and figures. I also learned that it is something that allows the students to take a more vested interest in their learning.
