I, like some other CTE teachers, find myself on an island of one when it comes to content. This reminded me how important it is for me to collaborate with close content areas in my building and other subject-alike teachers in the district.
This module reminds us of the boundaries, what professionalism looks like and the different elements and terminology non-traditional teachers need to learn.
I learned more about the history of CTE and how it was founded. It gave me an appreciation for frameworks and why those came about.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
