About me

Activity

I enrolled in college already having been diagnosed with Type 1 IDDM. I found that as a student (after explaining my disease in detail) that my disease was of no concern to the instructor's. They did why I had to leave the classroom at any given time (for health reasons of course. Now that I am an instructor, I am very understanding of real disabilities (that can be proven of course) and how to teach that student, even if they have narcolepsy. I hope more than less Instructors/Teachers/Professors all do the same.

I learned so many helpful techniques and activities to help me cope with stress. I am very excited to start practicing these activities (breathing exercises, stretching and organization) in my personal and professional life. I know that my family will also be enthusiastic about our new and almost stress free life! Thank you so much for offering us this course. It will truly make a huge difference in my performance as an educator, mother, friend, and wife. I can not wait to take other courses............

I know that one thing that stresses me out is the "unknown." Normally I will not find out my schedule for next quarter until (at most) three days before the start of the quarter. It makes it very hard to plan much of anything (with family, friends, or co-workers). Also, just making my agenda and syllabi in a matter of three days, is very difficult. How do you deal with the "unknown?"
