Organization is critical to course management. Like when you have student groups taking the course from multiple location. Example would be having a mix of civilian students and military students. Hard to manage the military schedule/deployments and try to keep them in the timeline for a course

I concur with the comment that the instructor needs to clearly state the intent of the blog and the requirements that support it.
Microblogging is useful, but on the cross cultural environment, I feel you have to evaluate the student body to make it work. Shortening phrases can lead to misinterpretations and possible cultural insults.

Implied.. Any method of assessing the effectiveness , has to be tailored to the the student makeup and background. Most of my instruction is multinational. Language, culture, religion, impacts the methods and the resources that have to be considered for each country

Megarubric is a term I was not familiar with. A new tool in my toolbox.
The backward approach to designing the rubrics is helpful to me. Need to define the end state and then develope the criteria.
In a multi-national environment it is difficult to clearly define the wording and this makes the rubic a sometime difficule tool to use
Time management is critical. Everyday schedules and events can rapidly change the flow of activities. It is very important to plan couse tasking and assignment in a manner that allows for external situations.
