I've learned that is okay to take time for ourselves to decompress.
It was thought provoking to learn the behavioral results of trauma in adolescents. It helped in understanding how to recognize the possible reasons for behavior.
It is very helpful to learn about the different forms of causes, effects, and responses to trauma events.
From this unit I have learned symptoms of PTSD and to be more cognizant of the possibility a student may be suffering from it. Also, how to get help for the student in these situations.
The avenues to help students achieve success with skills that will last them a lifetime!
From this module I have learned to plan, plan, and then plan some more, but with that said be flexible and adaptive.
I've learned that formative assessments are an important part of teaching CTE curriculum. They not only show where students are at in their learning, but also where I need improvement in delivery so they understand the information needed for success.
I have learned the difference between goals or course outcomes and objectives. The big picture is the course outcome the roadmap to that is the objectives outlined for the course.
In this module I learned strategies to make a positive first impression.
In this module I have learned there may be more to the students behavior than you are aware of. So, make the connection with the student, find out why, and then address the behavior in a non-threatening way.
