Activity

The idea of extending peer mentor connection after the orientation and continuing it throughout a the student's first semester or first year being effective sounds like a good idea. 

I never thought about this: "  It may be useful to check in with students shortly after they enroll to find out if classes meet their expectations and to find out what issues they may be facing".

Showing up makes a positive impact and can be very powerful. A simple meeting communicates School Commitment and shows that someone cares.

Quitting/withdrawing from school is most often caused by stress.

The school's marketing ultimately sets the student's expectations, wow!

I learned that 7% of effective communication comes from the words used! How ironic is that.
