I like the multiple answer type questions, where the student needs to identify several answers out of four, instead of a single answer. It's also interesting to sprinkle more False in True/False, since its more indicative of actual learning.

Research projects that students work on over the course of the semester are excellent tools to develop critical thinking.

Quizziz is a great tool to get classroom participation. The instructor also needs to train to become good at Q/A, like the H.B.S. video.

It's good to have multiple modalities presented in the class: videos, demonstrations, ppt lectures, whiteboard examples with discussion, building something for a lab.

Research projects are a great way for students to take ownership of learning, recording their discoveries in a technical report or presentation to the class.

Literacy's definition has expanded - it's not just reading and writing anymore, but a collection of foundational skills in order to learn.

The Socratic Method is a very powerful way to refine an argument. It works well in an electronic course too, by changing the circuit and discussing what would happen to the response.

Interesting the same communication mechanics are involved between tribal drums and 5G networks, the SIP principle!

Learning to read and comprehend in a different language (say, French) is a good exercise to improve your native-language skills (say, English) in those areas, too.

UDL - provide multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement. This is a good method to reach all students in the class, and is more satisfying for the teacher to too.
