Admissions meetings... the phrase makes everyone roll their eyes. But it is SO important. These are one of the best ways to give admission reps the chance to vent. These meetings keep the admissions reps connected to their students by getting them updates on student progress. These meetings allow reps to discuss ways to improve their communication with students and seek out peers to overcome obstacles.

It is always good to be reminded that there are many ways to determine the success of a program or school. Exit interviews and online reviews are useful. Student services can help create better results, and should be consulted and involved with every step, including admissions. Placement should be speaking to admissions so that everyone understands the needs of the community and employment potential.

Whenever I am on a call with an enrolled student, I always pull up their file, so I have access to all pertainent information. It is good to know that the requirements for these files are standardized throughout our system and by everyone who handles them. This streamlines my interactions with students and makes me more professional.

I am Director of Ed. It is important for me to understand the processes that my students go through so I can monitor the school's compliance with that process. Also, understing this can allow me to step in if there is confusion or needed clarification.
