This course was very beneficial to me as a new teacher. It reminds us that there is no such thing as being over prepared and that we can be creative in planning our lessons. This will help to keep students engaged. Using various resources will also help students to retain the information.

I felt like this course has helped me learn more about dealing with students with disabilities. Learning disabilities can hinder the success of the students and if there is anything I can do to help them overcome it, I will gladly do my best. The student has to be willing to speak up and let the instructor know they have a learning disability. If I see that the student is not comprehending the material, I will strive to find out why and what I can do to help. My plan is to apply the skills I have learned from this course. I will spend time clarifying the syllabus and addendum to avoid any confusion. It will be uploaded for the students access. I will also strive to involve every student with interactive assignments. Paying close attention to the different personalities will help me know my students better and know how to reach them. I will strive to know them personally by remembering their names and at least one thing about each individual.
