Vallorie you are VERY lucky with your students. I have the exact opposite...My students come to me with MANY issues and learning levels. Lots of hands on and taking notes from the white board is the preferred method the student’s request. I find myself  delivering the same info by flashcards, recreating with clay, and working in small groups. Very challenging... Most of my students do not hand in their work on time and if they do its minimal...I find changing the class very term makes a difference.

I agree. The information (Anatomy and Physiology) I lecture is sometimes complicated and 95% of my students have no clue on the subject matter.  I find questions, diagrams, and short activities make the most lasting impact in a 2 hour lecture.

Totally agree!

Being creative with the class objectives is key.  Bringing the students in to help shape the course objects works for me.  Students look forward to the next chapter and  they brainstorm how they can recreate the system with paly-dough, diagrams, flashcards, or case study's.

Real life experience when lecturing a leeson or a concept is key.  This truly ties the "book info" (which could be blah blah blah) to a person recounting an real experieince.

I agree!  Our students request "hands on" lectures and this course was excellent in giving me creative ideas for the up coming term.

This course was extremely beneficial for me!  I am not of the Generation Y's so I learned a great deal about this generation and how to make learning a valuable experience for them.

On-going training is a must in a large corp.  It keeps the staff up to date and on the same page. (which is difficult to do in a large company).  I also feel it helps to promote growth and exchange of new ideas. Shadowing other staff for a day in different departments is also an eye opener and a valuable tool to encourage positive communication between the dept.'s.
