I always try to keep in mind that if I'm enthusiatic that will at least show the content is important.
Its great to learn each students name and a fact about them. Also start by telling a bit about your self (background, experience, etc.) then reveal more as each students introduces themsleves. Use empathy to their stories with your own expereinces.
It is vital to be ready to teach by knowing what youre overall plan is for the students. PREPARE PREPARE PREPARE!
