Meeting Follow Up

It is important to follow up after meetings to make sure we are moving forward with our projects. When we get together again, we can remove completed projects from the list, and assign new ones. This is a good way to make sure things are completed, or in progress.

You can never have to much retention

Our school has a very good admissions department, and they do a great fabulous job. There is fairly good follow up during the year, but I feel that there should be more. Reinforcement is the key to retention, and you can never have too much retention D Hayes

First day in class orientation

During the first day to the last day of the class, you need to continue to reinforce the reason they are there, and what they need to do to complete there goal of higher education.

I'm ony human

I try to connect with the students that need me most. The guy or girl that stands out, or is in a shell are the ones I target most. I wish I could spend more quality time with each and every student, but the time frame is to short. This leaves me with the question, could I have done more to save the student? I wish I could save the world, but I'm only human

Becomming Involved

Before you can expect a student to become involved, the instructor has to become involved. If you teach straight out of the book, then it becomes boring. You have to teach the course, but it helps if you enjoy what you're doing. I like to tell my class how much I love my job, and I'm concerned with them, and not just the money they're paying to come here.
