Activity

As professionals we can join organizations in order to network, learn new technologies and different resources available.

In this time in age, more millennial college students are using more technology, so in order to help keep them interested in the course lessons as instructors we should be using the latest media to teach.

It is important to stay on top of the technology so that students can stay up to date with their learning skills for when they go out to their career fields.

It's important to have objectives so students can know what they have completed in a specific way.

It is good to keep a lesson folder that way you have assignments from previous lessons ready for use.

By staying prepared as the instructor it will help students stay on track on their lesson plan. It is important to give pretest to see if the students are understanding what they have just learned.

As a new instructor, a great tip that I learned is that by providing students to a variety of ways of earning points will students to show the knowledge they have learned so far in different ways.

I have learned that it is important to gage the students in the classroom and do status assessments to see how the students learning needs can be met!

What I learned regarding media choices, is to make sure it aligns with your teaching goals for the students. The 10/20/30 ruse for powerpoint presentations is good to know when creating this type of media education for students to keep them engaged and interested in the main points of the lesson.

As a new instructor, I have been able to observe one of the other instructors and pick her brain. It has been great for me to take notes and allow me to develop my own skills as a new instructor. I have had a lot of great tips from this course and from my colleague on how to stay organize and creating a fun learning environment for the students to get them excited about their future careers.
