Keeping in touch with graduates who are gainfully employed is important. It is equally important to keep in contact with employers; to get feedback about students, as well as getting feedback from students regarding the Career Services Department.
This module helped me learned and appreciate the step by step details of resume writing. It was insightful and actually a great base model I can use to implement a workshop within my institution.
During this module, I discovered the importance of resources for students. A wide variety of resources will be beneficial to students. These can include workshops, job preps, personalized websites, and internships.
During this Module I learned with is is critical to have a well defined Mission Statement for your institution. This step will help with and be a determining factor in creating the rest of the department. You can refer back to the mission statement you've created in order to see at that you are developing a department that is constantly meeting that mission statement.

Career Ed Lounge is embedded in over eighty professional development portals serving the career and technical education community. Performance Groups in the Lounge are integrated with related learning opportunities offered on these portals. With a few exceptions, Performance Groups are also publicly available to any member of the Lounge to maximize peer-to-peer learning and performance outcomes.
