This section made me more aware of the number of students in a college classroom that have disabilities that are not obvious but still need to be .addressed.

The ADA went into effect in 1991 for colleges. It stated that all students with disabilities have the right to equal access to education.

I learned how beneficial using observation sheets for field trips would be for the students . Also, understanding your personality and how it impacts the classroom made me take time to look at myself and think how the students see me.

I learned that if the instructor takes notes on what was successful  or not so successful with students will help the next time a topic is presented.

I found the information about late assignments to be helpful. A clear policy stated in the syllabus and reminders will help the student get assignments in on time.

I learned how important it is to model, manage and motivate your students and to be aware of having a personal professional development plan.
