F2F compared to online management of students requires the same if not more attention from you as an instructor.  You must use both extrinsic and intrinsic motivational factors and be consistent, be direct yet approachable.  Time management is key as mentioned in the training..  For many, this may be the first time they have to multitask or utilize time management.  This is opportunity for you to connect

Know all components of the CMS as an instructor and a student.  Be familiar with all resources.

Connect with your students right away.  Be consistent with your interaction with them and keep them engaged.

Model, manage, motivate..  Lead by example and connect with your students early.  Use a teaching style accommodating to them and pay attention to body gestures, language, behaviors.  Always be professional, make sure there are no technicalities during your lessons by preparing early, and deliver with your personality/ demeanor.
