Supporting students with PTSD in the classroom requires establishing a safe and predictable environment and it can be helpful to assign a student a mentor 

I have learned a lot about the different types of PTSD the big thing being how common it can be.

I learned about Vicarious Trauma, People who work with victims of actual trauma that experience trauma almost 2nd hand and I will consider that when working with students form those types of backgrounds.

The strategy for avoiding repeating some mistakes by making notes about how a lecture, demonstration, or activity worked. Really stood out for me and gave the idea to keep a professional journal. 

Managing student behavior is one of the most important aspects of teaching and can significantly impact the classroom environment. I've learned that setting clear exceptions at the beginning of class and listening to students is key to managing student behavior. 

What I took away from this section was that classroom management isn’t about controlling behaviors in your students it's about managing them and learning what works with different personality types 

The syllabus is the reference for your entire class and you ca easy avoid confusion by clearly outlining course obligations and due dates 

This module helped me understand just how important proper preparation. It also made me realize just how helpful clear and concise learning objectives are for both students and instructors.
