There are many challenges to online learning. There are many different types of students who learn differently. There are measures I can take to address the many different problems and behaviors that may arise with different types of students in the online platform. I can always return to the course guidelines when dealing with objectional students and procrasting students.

I've learned that it is important to provide feedbach in both synchronous and asynchronous discussions and to keep the synchronous discussions small.

I learned that in order to be successful I need to project a presence of authority and knowledge. Informing the students of my field of study and my professional experience within that field is essential for my credibility. Letting them know about through a textual biography would be beneficial as well as having them submit a biography about themselves would help in my communication and presence within the class.

I need to know the platform and how to use it. It is important for me to be able to explain the format of the class and provide technical help to the students. Being able to know the system and communicate the CMS to the students is imperitive for their success.
