Cell phones are an excellent source for information.
Case in point: Several years ago during my hiatus from proprietary education I was a sub in an elementary school. A sixth grade class had just returned from lunch when a student called another student a diphthong. I asked the student, "Do you know what a diphthong is," "No, but he is one." I pulled out my phone and looked up the meaning of the word for the young lad.
Boundaries need to be set in order to have an enjoyable experience with the cell phones. They sure beat having to walk five blocks to the library… >>>
