"Kumpletos Rekados"

In Filipino, we have this term "kumpletos rekados", which in English means "complete ingredients" whenever we cook. Also, in everyday slang, whenever this term is used we mean that to perfect something, all the necessary and essential parts should be there.

When I came to this module, I have realized that in order to improve and revise a course, "with multiple stakeholders come multiple sources of data, and multiple evaluation methods." We cannot just have one or two factors to look into, but we need a variety for our evaluation to be effective and efficient.

How do we determine the number of assessments to be given and how long the assessment should take to be finished?

"Hit the Target"

In giving assessments it is important for a teacher to clearly hit the targeted competencies. Sometimes teachers put quiz questions that were not emphasized in the resources or give too generalized feedback on student works. These mechanisms fail to effectively and efficiently measure student learning and guide them to better improve their understanding.

Assessment-designing is an essential part of education since it gauges if we truly have hit the mark of learning.

"Respect Begets Respect"

2. There should be close monitoring of student discussions, forums, and places… >>>

"Feel at home"

The one that stuck in my mind is the creation and designing of the module, especially on the consistency of it's design. I believe creating a student-friendly module means making the students feel "at home" with their courseware. Like our homes, we breeze through the cupboard easily finding cups, teaspoons, baking materials, canned goods, and wine glasses. Students should also be able to "breeze through" our coursewares finding with ease and familiarity where the assessments, contents, videos, FAQs, are. This boosts the confidence of the students and helps them perform excellently in the course.
