It's crucial for instructors to see the student as a student and not a student with a disability.   This kind of perspective prevents putting a label on the disabled student.

Institutions must provide accommodations for students with disabilities in order for them to achieve the same quality of education as students without a disability.

Doing assessments before, during and after help evaluate the course structure.  Adding scenarios can definitely  individualize the assessments and assist with understanding the student's learning style

It's important to use multiple sources of course evaluations to make revisions.  Using only student evaluations will not be effective in reassessing course material.

Positive feedback from the instructor helps keep the student motivated to learn.   It's critical for the instructor to maintain positivity when evaluating student's work.

Using online tools can help in the student learning.  It is also important for the instructor to be an active participant in communications with students.

Being consistent with course modules help the students not get overwhelmed, and they will better understand the material

While it is easy to focus on the student's disability, it's important to remember that the student wants to be treated like any other student.

There are several ways to help students with disabilities, however, the student should know what accommodations are needed to help them succeed.

This module helped outline some of the disabilities that are becoming more prevalent.   Many students have learning disabilities that were previously thought of as the student's fault.
