I've been at this a while, but I always enjoy the chance to go back and revisit the material, check to see what--if anything--is new, and just get a refresher.    This is extremely critical information, and I'm pleased at the structure and content of this course.   It covers everything very thoroughly, without digging too deep beyond what is necessary.  It does provide the context and foundations, with the reasonings for the regulations, and this is very helpful.   I'm occasionally asked about these things by prospective and current students, and they find it extremely helpful when I can answer their questions.… >>>

Dangerous Waters

Working for a Private, For-Profit, Career School in Ohio, we are pretty carefully schooled in what we can say, what we can't say, and what we MUST say.  Still, through this course I've discovered that there are a number of areas of confusion out there: areas where we are doing certain things in the name of "compliance" that we don't fully understand, giving perhaps too little emphasis to some things, and too much emphasis to others.  Anyone else encountering the same?

 

I really enjoyed this course, as I felt that while I didn't learn that much that was new, I have a much greater understanding of what all of these policies and procedures that we have to follow are there for.  With all of our schools under ever greater scrutiny by Congress, as expressed in the new Gainful Employment developments, it's critical that we not run afoul of these critical rules and regulations. 

In a tough economic climate, even though a school can espouse the strictest standards and highest ideals, there will always be a hint of temptation to "color outside… >>>
