Online communication with students should include cohesive, affective, and interactive statements. It gives students the idea that the instuctor is caring, socialable, and suppotive. 

There are many online learning programs that can be used to engage students. For example, student information systems, learning management systems, web portals, and student relationship management softwares. These different systems offer ways of communication between students and teachers.

I have learned that online learning is preferred by students who have a lot of other responisbilities and is sometimes more convenient.

Interactions between students, faculty, and staff plays a major role in students' decision to leave or stay in school as well as retaining information. When there is a positive relationship and interaction between students and teachers, students tend to retain information during their learning.
