Every student is different and with those differences come different ways of thinking and learning. It is vital that students are taught with everything in mind such as cultural backgrounds, learning styles , and personal challenges in order to succeed.

what I learned is when teaching to students something you should meet them where they are to try and help them succeed in learning. For instance, helping the student whose mother tongue may be Spanish learn English by relating familiar concepts to them that correspond with the English language.

I have learned the difference between culture and race and the importance of both in helping and understanding my students.

I have learned that every individual has different needs in order for them to learn effectively. it is important to learn what their needs are and not assume based on their ethnicity, gender, or even possible religious background because this can lead to worse outcomes for the individual in addition to compromising the comfortability of the student to be confident and succeed.
